About Merge PDF

Merge PDF joins documents in the order you choose. Bookmarks from each file are kept, and you can switch to page mode to pick and arrange individual pages. Processing happens locally with the CoherentPDF engine.

How to use it

  1. Select your PDFs, or drag them onto the drop area.
  2. Drag files (or pages, in page mode) into the order you want.
  3. Select Merge and download the combined PDF.

Your file stays on your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed in memory, and saved back to your device — it is never uploaded to Qpdf or anyone else. The first time you use it, your browser downloads the CoherentPDF engine (software only, about 9 MB) from qpdf.ca and keeps it for offline use.

How Qpdf keeps files private →

Good to know

  • Merging creates a new document, so existing digital signatures will not remain valid in the merged file.
  • Password-protected files must be unlocked first.
  • Downloads the CoherentPDF engine (about 9 MB) the first time you use it; after that it works offline.
