About Alternate & Mix Pages

Alternate merge takes page 1 from each file, then page 2, and so on — ideal for combining front-side and back-side scans from a single-sided scanner.

How to use it

  1. Select your PDFs, or drag them onto the drop area.
  2. Arrange the files in order and choose whether to reverse any of them.
  3. Merge and download.

Your file stays on your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed in memory, and saved back to your device — it is never uploaded to Qpdf or anyone else. The first time you use it, your browser downloads the CoherentPDF engine (software only, about 9 MB) from qpdf.ca and keeps it for offline use.
